Patchogue Theatre, Patchogue, NY
The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts presents “Another Sublime Evening” with Four woman and their songs LIVE IN THE LOBBY. Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 Cathy Kreger and What It Iz headline the evening with Cathy Kreger's passionate lead vocals and solid acoustic guitar work. The sound of Cathy Kreger and her band What it Iz mixes Blues and Jazz with spanking rhythms, superb vocals, and lush guitar work, turning folk, rock, blues, and pop influences into a lyrical and melodic style that is as passionate as it is polished. 23 year old Amanda Kaletsky of Connecticut is the first featured performer, who Relix Magazine said “has the voice of a pop star but the voice of a singer/songwriter. Her infectious [music] finds a middle ground between New York’s homey downtown clubs and the polish of Top 40 radio”. The evening opens with the Songwriter Spotlight, two short sets from Long Island singer/songwriters. Katie Pearlman, who normally plays drums and sings for the Katie Pearlman band makes her Lobby debut with a rare acoustic performance and Jessie Haynes returns for a solo acoustic performance of a medley of her songs.
